Course Overview
ITEC 1000 or Introduction to Information Technology explains basic functions and operations of a computer, explains how to put one together and perform general maintenance. It also shows one how to connect a computer to a network and explains the basics of computer security. It shows that I know the basics of computers and can operate and maintain one. It explains how to be safe with computers and general electricity in a work environment. It also explains how to be professional in the workplace.
Course Reflection
I learned how to maintain and put together a computer as well as connect a computer to a network. I can use this while generally using a computer in my daily life as well as it is an introduction to the world of IT. The course also had a lot to talk about general safety with computers as well as career options with cybersecurity.
