Course Overview
ITEC 1457 CompTIA A+ Practical Application is about general IT security and general operating systems. From disk partitioning to the basics of networks to different types of malware, ITEC 1457 informs you about all types of software. It focuses on installing and configuring operating systems and general IT security. It also covers general troubleshooting and best practices. The main goal of ITEC 1457 is to prepare you for the CompTIA A+ 1002 exam. It fulfills that greatly.
Course Reflection
A lot of this course was going over parts of ITEC 1357 but in a different light. There were a lot of labs for this course, most had to deal with practical jobs. I had to install and configure many different operating systems, both physical and virtual: from Windows 7 to 10 and Ubuntu GNU/Linux.
